The objective of this course is to study the economic, social, political and religious aspects of civilizations from 400-1600 CE. We will study the Fall of Rome, the Early Middle Ages in Europe, the Rise of Islam, African Kingdoms, Imperial China, Feudal Japan, Later Middle Ages of Europe, Renaissance, Reformation and the Early Americas (Maya, Aztec and Inca).
